'Jago Bangla', which is the Trinamool Congress's mouthpiece, in a scathing attack on Congress, said that it was "war-weary " and “exhausted” and the party failed to do what it should have done as the principal Opposition in Parliament. The newspaper, in its editorial piece, also claimed Trinamool Congress is the 'real Congress'.
