Opposition protests, passage of key bills marked Winter Session of Parliament

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement on November 19 that the three farm laws will be repealed and the BJP's losses in the byelections in Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and West Bengal had led many to believe that the opposition will have an upper hand in the winter session and may even force a washout.
